Homosexuality
There has never been any indication that Amun views homosexuality in the way that you would expect to find in the Christian Bible. It is clear that homosexuals cannot reproduce, meaning that Amun meant for such a relationship to be shared for that reason between a man and a woman. However, Amun created love, and each one of us. Therefore, it is not against Ma'at in any way to be a homosexual, unless you are trying to reproduce. Homosexuals are not to be mistreated or denied any right in the eyes of Netjer. Rather, they are to be treated with dignity, respect and kindness, just as you would treat anyone else. If homosexuality is wrong, then that is something between that person and Amun, not anyone else.
What of those who are transgender?
This topic is very touchy. It is easy for some to look at this and say that it is against any balance and order of the universe. Even a way of telling Netjer that He was wrong in his making the person their biological gender. However, closer study tells that this is not completly true. No one really knows what causes a person to feel they are in the wrong body. Putting safety and making sure that YOU are right with Netjer, it is best to show them dignity and respect also, even if you do not understand or agree with what it is that they are doing. When in doubt, treat everyone with respect.
